Procedure
Rubbing scratches the eye membrane and may drive the particle (embedded object) deeper into the tissues, making its removal more difficult.
- 2.Wash your hands thoroughly before examining the eye.
- 1.You may inadvertently transfer dirt from your hands into the eye.
Eyes are easily damaged.
- 4.Do not attempt to remove the embedded particle.
- 5.Cover the eye with a dressing.
- 6.Transport to medical aid.
